Qualifications:[/b] • Graduation from a physician assistant training program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Programs (CAAHEP). • License to practice as a physician assistant in any one of the fifty states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands. • Graduation from fellowship training in Orthopedic Medicine and possess two (2) years of Ortho PA experience. -OR- • Three (3) years full-time experience within the last four (4) years working as an Orthopedic PA. • Current BLS certification.
The ideal candidate will:[/b] • Perform a variety of orthopedic pre-, intra-, and post-operative duties. • Perform evaluation of patient status including participation in daily rounds, evaluation of laboratory parameters, radiological and other diagnostic tests, progress notes and routine orders and additional duties as assigned. • Provide a full range of Musculoskeletal care. • Prescribe and dispense medications as delineated by the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee.
