My son had to come out of the first game of the State Cal Ripken tournament after only throwing 10 pitches due to shoulder pain this past Saturday. It has almost been 2 yrs to the date that he hurt his elbow....later diagnosed as Little League Elbow. Based on his symptoms I believe he has injured his growth plate in his shoulder. Pain was so bad yesterday that he could not even swing a bat. Plan on taking him to doctor later in week when we get back from tournament. He had not pitched much during the last month....kid just can't get a break. Playing West Raleigh again tonight.....for those of you that know who they are....their 12u team won the national title last year in Cal Ripken baseball. Taking him to see Dr. Dale Boyd in Wilmington, NC....any other suggestions for Doctors?

There are doctors I could recommend near Raleigh or Charlotte, but I don't know others near Wilmington. I don't know Dr. Boyd, but I looked at his credentials and he has the proper training for injuries like this. I think you should give him a try.
