My name is Alex and I am in medical training to become a specialist within the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R). I recently had the privilege of teaming up with several physicians to conduct a detailed study of two of the more common knee and ankle tendon injuries in sports (Patellar Tendon and Posterior Tibeal Tendon). Injuries with these two tendons are most commonly seen in basketball, but participation in this survey is not limited to those of you who've played basketball. We've more recently been able to get in touch with current and former NBA athletic trainers to give us information for some of their athletes who have had to deal with these injuries, and we want the study to include anyone who plays/has played in High School, College, Club Sports, or at the Pro-level. The questions have been phrased so that anyone who plays sports at almost any level can participate! Below, I have attached the simple 17 question survey that should take less than 10 minutes to complete. These tendon injuries have been around for quite a few years now and there unfortunately have not been sufficient medical investigations to assess and optimize the care for those of you who've devoted time and energy to your respective sports. The more participants we have, the stronger the study will be, so I encourage as many of you as possible, to participate in and share this simple questionnaire. Finally, if there are questions that you feel can be phrased differently to improve the survey, please let me know below!
