After many years, I think I have solved my problem of being able to throw a baseball properly. As a kid, I could never tell where the ball I threw was going to go. Needless to say, playing baseball was not my sport. A few months ago, I looked at my thumb (which looked normal to me. I never look at other people's thumbs) and found out that it would be diagnosed as hypermobile. I can bend my thumb 90° past vertical which most people cannot do. How would this affect my ability to throw a baseball? I've searched the web and found no information. Would taping the thumb be a possible work around? Thanks for your help.
