Does anyone have research based recommendations for cleaning sports equipment to prevent MRSA colonization? Especailly the soft padding of protective gear? As a general pedaitrican I see a good number of MRSA skin infections and walking into my son's hockey locker room there is a distinct foul smell. I have looking into an commercial ozone system, SaniSport, that seems effective but not practical for frequent use by youth players. Is ther any effidence for onzone sytems that come with equipement bags or just air drying at room temperature?
