I was told my MRI came back showing a partial tear in my UCL, I am from the Wichita area and a college pitcher and was wondering if you have any advice for the Midwest area that I'm in for doctors you would recommend? I am seeing Dr. Prohaska of Wichita for the second opinion, but if you recommend any others please let me know! Thanks!

Unfortunately I do not know any specialists in your area closer than St. Louis. However I checked out Dr. Prohaska's credentials; I don't know him personally, but he seems qualified for elbow injuries. Of course if you have the opportunity, you should consider going to Brimingham, AL to see Dr. Andrews, Cain, or Dugas.
My son (also a college pitcher) had a partial tear of his ucl. He saw Dr. Steven Joyce at Dickson Dively Orthopedic Clinic in Kansas City-Overland Park. Dr. Joyce performed a PRP injection and the results have been great so far. He is still in the midst of a return to pitching protocol but has had no set backs. I would think that an orthopedic surgeon affiliated with the KU Medical School in Wichita would be a good bet. KU orthopedics in Kansas City are now the team doctors for the KC Royals. Dr. Joyce's group used to be the team doctors. Hope it all works out for you.
