Of course I am not. I am saying that without proper care one can become the other. You are in the process of addressing the issue and that is great. My purpose of making the statement is to remind you, if it is necessary, that this is no small deal.
By the way, after the smoke clears, you need to come to grips with the causes of the injury and correct them when possible.

Did you meet with either of the doctors mentioned in this thread? I too have a son with a diagnosis via MRI arthrogram of partial tear of the anterior band of the ulnar collateral ligament. I'd love to hear what your experiences were like with these docs, please.
