Im a 20 year old college pitcher/ 3rd baseman. I was pitching in a game 9 weeks ago and felt a "pop." Actually it felt more like something shifted in my elbow. I took 4 weeks off throwing and was diagnosed with a ucl sprain. When I tried to throw again I felt the "pop on every throw I made and by the 10th throw or so my ucl would fire up. I went back to my doctor and he recommended I get an MRI. I have yet to get on because my insurance has declined my request 3 times now. I went back to the doctor again at 7 weeks and got an xray, came back clean and I passed the value test. My elbow is pain free in my every day life and I just tried to throw again on Monday (the nine week mark) and I no longer have the pop or pain while lightly tossing at 45-55 feet. My question is, if I feel fine where do I go from here. How much throwing do I need to do to rehab it? I don't want to rush back and hurt something. I am also a infielder, so how good do I need to feel in order to play some 2nd base and hit? Thanks in advance!
