My son is a 18 year old LHP. Developed shoulder pain April 2018. Threw with pain until December 2018. Rested for 6 weeks and started to get up and throw again and developed shoulder pain again. Started seeing a chiropractor that does active release therapy along with laser therapy. Also has a strength regiment that includes shoulder tube and crossover symmetry. His pain is greatly reduced after about 6 weeks of doing this along with light long toss. He's just now getting up to full effort throws. It seems to be going in the right direction with what were doing. My question is about a cortisone shot along with the strength and ART. Would it help with his healing to get one along with everything else he's doing?
He has had all the manual test to see if it's a tear and they all come back negative. The pain is felt when he goes into acceleration with the pitch in the back of the shoulder. I can't remember what the muscle is called.
